The deal means that Ingram Micro will provide Siemens with national distribution and boost its retail presence across Australia, as it enters into the broadband networking market. Siemens SHC manufactures cordless telephones, Voice over IP (VoIP) handsets and broadband internet devices for the home and office. Thanks to the partnership, Siemens SHC plans to increase its market share over the next 12 months, with broadband devices and networking in mind.

Nokia Siemens Networks to supply equipment for Turkmenistan cellular communication network

The ministry of communication of Turkmenistan is to sign a contract with Finnish-German company Nokia Siemens Networks for procurement of equipment for 100 thousand numbers of the national cellular communication network. The total cost of the contract is US $ 9,2 million. As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru was told in the ministry of communication, the above mentioned equipment will be launched in June this year.

Bosch und Siemens (NYSE:SI) Hausgeraete GmbH, the household appliance joint venture between Siemens AG and Robert Bosch GmbH, expects full-year 2008 sales growth to be similar to 2007, chief executive Kurt-Ludwig Gutberlet told the newspaper. However, he did not comment on the development of net profit, it added. In 2007, the company posted sales growth of 6 pct to 8.8 bln eur, the paper added.
