Bosch und Siemens (NYSE:SI) Hausgeraete GmbH, the household appliance joint venture between Siemens AG and Robert Bosch GmbH, expects full-year 2008 sales growth to be similar to 2007, chief executive Kurt-Ludwig Gutberlet told the newspaper. However, he did not comment on the development of net profit, it added. In 2007, the company posted sales growth of 6 pct to 8.8 bln eur, the paper added.
Gutberlet also expects that all 14,000 jobs at the company’s German operations will be maintained. ‘This is about the same amount we had when the company was founded 40 years ago. There are no plans to change that,’ he said. Gutberlet said that business is particularly flourishing in China and Russia, but also in Poland, Czech Republic and Ukraine, adding that on a dollar-basis, growth in the US was 20 pct. cs1/mas/vlb Copyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
